Financing
The costs of EUREKA projects are generated by the participants themselves, there are no separate central allocations for financing the projects; EUREKA does not have a project support resource. The developments carried out within the EUREKA projects are supported to various extents by all member countries. Some of them- including Hungary- have established a separate EUREKA allocation (budget), and others use the existing competition systems for the partial financing of the EUREKA projects.
In Hungary there is a special support system that co-finances the Hungarian EUREKA project participants, including cluster project participants, in the frame of the Déri Miksa Programme. This Programme has a dedicated budget of 2 million euros per year for 2007-2010. In order to ensure the flexibility what is needed for starting an international cooperation project the project proposals can be submitted continuously with 2-3 cut-off dates per year.
